hi, i found out the hard way. cause i always have several project going on. you know sometimes you just like to do something else.......
and of course the place where i put the needle was right at a place where i could not cover it with stitches.......... and the stain is impossible to remove:'(

I keep mine in the little container Blood Glucose Test strips come in. Perfect size. I also buy my needles in bulk. I just put a sticker on the top and label. :)
