I use loop start too, but it only works for an even number of strands of the same color (not blended).

I very seldom work with any more than 2 strands and don't often blend. Find those designs tax my brain too much.  Details Reply Post time 2013-8-16 13:41

I too usually work with 1 strand folded to make the two strands and start with a loop.  Details Reply Post time 2013-9-18 08:50

I am going to try the loop method.  I tried the tiny stitch and it works great on my larger fabric.  I'm working on 30 count now.  But I'm nearly finished with it....yipee!!  I love this board.

It is interesting the different ways that people start sewing with their threads.  Post time 2013-8-20 20:21

Have you seen the thread about the pinhead stitch (used for both starting and stopping stitching)?   ...

I just put this exact thread in my favorites last night. The next time I am able to stitch I am trying it out. I'm working with one thread and stopping/starting the ends would be so much easier this way.
