Honestly, the simplest way to do it will be to look at the pattern and count how many stitches each way. You can stitch it on any thread count that you want, you'll just have to use a fabric calculator to get the right size fabric.
If I had to guess, I would say the stitch count is given in this line: Trame 450 x 342
Check the pattern to make sure that's right.
Then if you want to stitch on 28 count, divide the stitch count by 28, so 450/28 x 342/28 comes to 16.1 x 12.2 inches. Add some extra fabric on each side for border/framing/etc, and that is the size fabric you'll need.
If you want the finished piece to be bigger, you can stitch on a larger count fabric like 25 or 22 count. If you want it to be smaller, you can try stitching on 32 or 36 count, though you'll need really good eyesight for that. Just always remember to add atleast 6 inches total on each side to make sure you have enough to frame or finish it. |
