yes very tedious but if you do your backstitching after you finish a section if makes the end result so much easier.   most pieces do not look finished if the backstitching is not done

Es más fácil hacerlo sobre la marcha, pero las que disfrutamos haciéndolo,  a veces preferimos hacerlo al final y ver cómo poco a poco va quedando completado el diseño.

I find backstitching kind of tedious, so I’ll start another project and switch between the two

I like to do it at the end and watch the design "pop"

I try to do the same, but sometimes I forget.  And then I regret it when I have to do them all at the end.
I do the same with beads, by the way.

I agree with you, Sam. I wait until the end and then it never gets finished.

I tried to backstitch before stitching, I don't have to say it didn't work very well, right? :lol
But, I mostly do the same.

I always try and do my backstitching as I go along as I too hate it.  Hadn't thought of doing the beads that way, but I will in future as I hate those too.  Thanks for the tip

Backstitching has never really bothered me. I love seeing it all come "alive" with just that little bit of extra thread... ^_^

You said it perfectly! :) Backstitching does make the project pop to life. Like you, it never has bothered me either, and I always wait until the end of my project to do so.  Post time 2013-4-8 15:22

I also agree! It give the project that added dimension! I always do mine last to watch it come alive :-)  Details Reply Post time 2012-7-7 04:53
I also enjoy backstitching, it adds to the detail and is so great when it makes a stitched piece really come to life  Details Reply Post time 2012-7-1 01:53
