New rules for free patterns and individual patterns on the crochet and knitting forum

There are two new rules on the crochet and knitting forum. Please, check them out:

1-Due to the abuse of asking so many coins for a free pattern, we have decided to set a maximum price.


If the pattern is FREE, write it on the title. The maximum price for a free pattern should be 10 coins.


2-We have been having a lot of problems to find  individual patterns when someone uploads the complete book/magazine/booklet because of  the lack of information on the titles.

So, we no longer will accept an individual pattern that has been taken from a book , magazine or booklet.


We appreciate your collaboration to follow the rules.

A pattern is considered free when it's free for everyone on the Internet for unlimited time.

If the pattern has been translated but it's not on the Internet for free, it's not free, so you can charge whatever you want. However, if I find the translated pattern for free on the Internet, I'll change the price to 10 coins (maximum price for a free pattern).

How about a leaflet from a collection?  There is a month to month booklet I see on for sale sites a lot called Quick N Easy crochet. I hardly see it all complete. Mostly see it piece by piece for sale, patterns loose. They have holes pre-punched for a binder.  I have a couple of these.  Would that be a prohibited posting? Thank you.

Thank you for the clarification.  I thought that free meant free here on the site, not a freebe on the the internet.
