Same here. Never really thought about it too much. I have purchased gold plated but I'm not sure if they actually make a difference.

Bohin are great. I bought 25 of each of my favorite sizes. Cheaper that way.

I dont really think it matters much - I usually use dmc because theyre the cheapest ones my local shop sells :)

I use John James and they are wonderful. I don't think I've ever broken one either. Just lose them inside my chair. :Q
