there are many nice low cost patterns.  Just ignore and don't buy or comment on the high cost patterns

Totally worth it, especially if you can get the gold by being genuinely active in the forum.  I'd love for more people to start posting topics.  I posted a bunch, and they were hit or miss, trying to get conversations started or just trying to start a thread that gives people an easy +5 gold for something other than "Thanks for sharing!"

I had to save up at first to get things, but if you are a little particular about what you do download, you will soon find yourself with more gold than patterns to buy!  lol  Start with the low cost patterns, try to find one you have at home that isn't uploaded yet, and put a low cost on it.  5-20 gold.  I kept a good amount after just putting up a couple of low cost ones (20 gold) and one low cost popular one.  The others I posted are free.

Don't know if I'll ever have more gold than patterns to buy....I've discovered I am a pattern hoarder At least they don't clutter up the house.  Details Reply Post time 2016-12-20 12:38

I meant to ask you which pattern did you decide to do. I think I am going to jump in with a hard one and do Jasmine Becket-Griffith - Mermaid of the Deep. But first I am doing Care Bears for my friend  Post time 2016-12-21 01:50
I'm going to have to look up needle books on pinterest. I need somewhere neat to keep the ones I am not using on a project. I lose needles so often !  Post time 2016-12-21 01:37
I found the best items to make my needleminders at Hobby Lobby. Great clearance items and sales. The most expensive one was $3 and it is a jeweled dragon. Most were close to $1  Post time 2016-12-21 01:35
I had to look up needleminder. =) I have a box with all my floss, and I put magnets on it to catch my needles. lol I've been wanting to make a needle book! I saw some adorable ones on Pinterest.  Post time 2016-12-20 23:03
I totally understand about kids and time. Now that mine are grown I have started stitching again :) And I have discovered a new item to collect - Needleminders. I make my own.  Post time 2016-12-20 13:45
Problem now is I'm finding sewing for my mom! lol Soon, I'll be asking her for toys!  Post time 2016-12-20 13:32
I am, too! lol I printed just one out. Will laminate it soon. I try to ask myself if I'll really want to work on things, and then get my faves. Time is fleeting when you have four kids!  Post time 2016-12-20 13:31
