Thought I would make a new thread cause I had a hard time finding a comment earlier.  lol  Lost the nest!  Anyway, I am working on this: Coricamo Owl

155557so2dtlbsrr6dz6on.jpg

I am doing it on black Aida, and I am only using thread I already have so the colors aren't exact.  I changed the black in it to a dark grey, and I am going to backstitch around it with a lighter grey to help it pop.  I am overcast stitching some areas to get the look I want.

So do you have pics of your project yet?  When I have more time this evening, I will upload a WIP.  Hopefully.  Might be a couple days.  lol  Deep cleaning here today.  We saw a roach, and one roach is one too many!

I love it ! I want to see your work. I bet the color changes you've chosen are great. I will take some pics and post them in the WIP area. I haven't done any on my HAED because I am dyeing the fabric gray as most of the pattern is black and I have white fabric and I am afraid it might show thru.

Totally understand about one roach. I am living in an apartment right now so I spend $$ on roach killer. The exterminator here is a joke and I think some of the neighbors aren't so clean. I can't stand the idea of bugs !  Best spray I found is called Bengal. I use 3 different types so if they are immune to 1 hopefully one of the other kinds will get them. Though with little ones around you have to be less aggressive on poisons.

I need to take some progress shots, too. I agree, never seems to change much. I get done for the night, point to maybe 100 stitches, and my crocheting husband says sorry. lol  Post time 2016-12-24 01:33
I am going to try to update my cross stitch diary once a week. When I stitch it doesn't seem to change much, but seeing a weeks worth a progress will be encouraging  Post time 2016-12-23 11:27
Roaches will outlive us all. They are tough ! When we move back to my house I am going to bug bomb all my items before they are loaded onto the moving truck  Post time 2016-12-23 11:25
I saw your things in the Stitch Diary! I really like them!  Post time 2016-12-23 06:05
We bought poisons, repellents, traps, have scoured and scrubbed, have sprayed everything with alcohol or Lysol... We paid a guy 6 times to spray! Still see them sometimes.  Post time 2016-12-23 06:03
Apartments is how we got roaches a couple years ago. We live in a separate house, but a friend visited. She had this infested apartment.  Post time 2016-12-23 06:01
I added a post of the cross stitch I'm making for my mom, and another with a pic of some of my needleminders. When I get more done on it I will share a pic of the care bears I am making for a friend.  Post time 2016-12-22 23:14
