Once again I clicked on a pattern to find it was 200 gcs. WHY... it wasn't even a good patten.  I thought this was suppose to be a teaching site?  It's very discouraging.

Some people think quite highly of their uploads.  There was another site I joined like this, set up with the same bbs system.  I left after a day because it was just too hard to get started in it.  Here, most of the time you can comment on stuff and get what you want.  There it was free stuff for newbs (mostly crap), and the other things you had to really work to get.  And it took forever to get just one point.  so I left.  Anyway, digressing there...

They had this rule.  NO pattern could be more than 50.  No free pattern found online could be more than 5.  That part was nice.  But the site made you work hard to get anything.

It is quite unfortunate that there is no limit on the amount of gc charged. Because of that it is easy for members to over charge and in the end both the member posting and the member that desires it lose out which is sad. I always found that charging a more reasonable price for whatever I post will actually make more gc down the line.

Of course, there is the fact that I have enough patterns for things to last several lifetimes so what I'm doing getting more is insanity anyway.

200 for one pattern is too high ! I have a collection for patterns I want that are too expensive. I want one that is 200 for the pattern and another 120 to download because it is in 4 parts. I just refuse to spend that much for a basic pattern.

I saw a 300g peacock cross-stitch one a couple days ago.  I actually wanted it, but there was no way I wanted to pay that much.  Eh, I have plenty to do!  I'll keep my 300g.

I wanted to make a Harry Potter for my grand daughter. Found a book but it is 450 for the chart and 270 to download it because it is in 9 small parts. So that's 720 GCs !! why??
