I got a cross-stitch frame.  I've only used hoops before.  This thing is great!  I don't have to hold anything!

I got an Ott-lite that has a lighted magnifier and an arm to hold the pattern. I also got a lap quilt that my mom made. She embroidered chickens on it for me

I love my wooden frames and stand. I bought pvc pipe and all the bits to make a stand for my bigger qsnaps frame.

I got a new computer desk and lots of yarn for crocheting

I use an antique night stand, too. lol The printer is on the shelf at the bottom, and I use the one drawer for cords, pencils, and paper. Love it! It's just big enough on top for a laptop and cup.  Post time 2016-12-28 02:48
Lucky you ! I need a computer desk. I am using a large night stand, it is high enough but I have to sit sideways. And yarn is fabulous, you can never have too much  Post time 2016-12-28 02:45
Lots of yarn is what my husband wanted. lol He got a Barns and Nobles gift card, and we have no B&N. Poor guy. He ordered some comics. When I asked about crochet books, he got mad at himself.  Post time 2016-12-28 01:03

A lovely time with family

Comments

First Christmas without your Dad must be tough. :( And traveling with kids is torture !  Post time 2016-12-28 03:15
All the extra driving and loading up kiddos wears on me. There and back is an hour drive so it feels like I had half the time to do anything this year. I hate rushing. I get cranky under pressure!  Post time 2016-12-28 02:55
Yeah, I see too much of them already! XD Except for my dad. First Christmas without him so we've been doing extra to include my mom in everything.  Post time 2016-12-28 02:53
LOL Spyctre, absence makes the heart grow fonder. When you are 1,000 miles apart you really forget how aggravating they can be :)  Post time 2016-12-28 02:43
I wish I had the same. lol I love my family, but these past couple weeks have been aggravating to us all. We're going to have a lovely time now that this is over!  Post time 2016-12-28 01:05
that's the best gift of all. I'm in TX with my husband but all our other family is out of state, so Christmas wasn't as special as it would be if we were all together.  Post time 2016-12-28 00:35

I haven't mailed a few off yet. Need to do it in the next couple days. We thought we'd get together. Don't think we will.  Post time 2016-12-28 06:44
