Types and sizes of crochet needles: get to know everyone!
One of the most important parts when we talk about crochet crafts is to take into consideration the type of needle that will be used to make the piece.
It directly influences the size of the point and, consequently, the size in which the piece will stay. In addition, there are steel, aluminum and plastic needles.
Size
The measurement used for the needle is millimeters. It can range from 0.5mm to 10.0mm. It is common to always have some graph indicating the size that should be used. However you can create your own work and even modify the graph.
To make large stitches, always prefer thick needles, but be careful not to get too wide open for clearance. To do this, make a career as a broker and make sure it matches the chart or what you want to do. For a smaller and tighter point, prefer the finer needles.
Steel Crochet Needle
This needle is indicated to use with thinner lines and to make closed stitches. It has the characteristic of being versatile and can adapt to any type of line, including thicker like wool.
Aluminum Crochet Needle
To make bigger points with a thick thickness, the most indicated is the one of aluminum. The needle helps pull the larger thread more easily, making the job quick and precise.
Plastic crochet hook
The plastic ones are also indicated for jobs with larger points. However, unlike the others, she tires her hand less. To make a closed stitch with this type of needle, make a chain and check that the stitch does not loosen.
