Newbie with a query

Hello fellow crafters! I'm still new in this group and I have a question. I purchased (or is that the right term) a pattern here for 55 coins. It's in .xsd format. My total coin count got deducted but I wasn't able to get the pattern. Is there something I'm not seeing? Like what is the difference between buying it and downloading it? Thank you to anyone who will be willing to help me out! :)
