I downloaded these yesterday off the internet. Many, many sites were discussing what materials to use and what would be the best filtering fabric.
If you make them too thick they are hard to breathe through. So please take a few moments to investigate and research.
So many countries have had a shortage of face masks. My own country included.
I am posting this disclaimer that these masks will not prevent COVID 19 spread because they can't filter the tiny virus cells. But these can be used for
those not caring for a COVID 19 patient and are OK to use out in public where close contact is not an issue as we are keeping ourselves 2m apart or 6ft.
Social distancing and remaining at home as much as possible is the key to ending this pandemic.
These would be good for dust and pollen.
I don't want to give anyone a false sense of security; but these are better than nothing. I did read that many nurses suggested making ties instead of elastic because they said the tightness of the elastic made them sore.
I am making mine because I threw away my N95 mask when it got dirty and I do have some sanding to do here at home.
Keep safe, keep busy!

Hi Thank you very much!
I just want to say something, if you are going to make masks to sell please don't put in the title of the add " Protection Masks".
Many people here in Germany had problems because of that.
Just put mouth and nose masks (for example).
This way you don't have any problems.
Take care and be safe!
Stay at home (if you can) :)
Thank you so much for this! I don't own a sewing machine but willing to learn how to sew... is it possible to hand sew this at all? Any tips or advice would be much appreciated :)
