thanks for the tip my first Q snap clamps actually all cracked and had to buy new ones but these seem much stronger
I had left my work on my frame and was suppose to be a short time in storage but turned out to be nearly a year so that was why I thought they cracked with the presure and the changing weather conditions

I have some somewhere around here, but they were not holding the fabric tight enough so I stopped using them.  Maybe I'll try your trick and start using them again.. thanks!!
