I love how you put your personal touches on this design! Altering a pattern to fit your own taste can make the finished piece really a part of you, so to speak.   :)
You did an amazing job, and in such a short time too!   Maybe you should try the jewel tones, like your hubby suggests, it would definitely stand out against the darker shades of your decor! (I also would just love to see more of your work. :lol)
