prefiero patrones, elijo telaydistintos colores del trabajo
I would definitely think that patterns are a lot less expensive in the long run. You always have some floss, beads or whatever left over that can be used in another design.
Also I prefer to work with DMC thread and not all kits come with that.
Pros of kits :
If youre an occasional stitcher and dont want to invest in supplies
Chart may only be available in a kit (this site is great for this tho!)
Left over materials can be used for future pattern projects
All materials are gathered for you and youre ready to go
Cons of kits:
Some supply non-standard colors so if you run short of a color, it cant be matched
Use cheap materials-thread tangles easily, uneven Aida cloth weave, needle loses coating
Some dont supply enough supplies-Aida cloth too small, run out of thread
Hard to customize colors for your own taste
Color of thread description and chart may be hard to figure out which is which!
Instructions can be difficult to understand or take it for granted that youre an expert stitcher
Personally, I only buy kits for the pattern but now that Ive discovered this site, I may never buy another kit! Keep sharing!
I think that most of us here would be just obtaining patterns now and only kits if the patterns and with this site it is so great to find so many excellent patterns
So keep up the good work to all and continue to share
At the begining I started with kits to discover
but nom I prefer pattern
muy bonito
Really depends, fibers and fabric are hard to get here but another hand like to use linen and kits often use aida
Au début jachetais les kits , mais au fil du temps il me restait des fils alors maintenant je préfère les fiches.
I love patterns! It gives you the options to add things to your final masterpiece if so desired! and change the fabric color too!
I prefer a pattern because I have every DMC thread color there is....if I run out of a color I replace it.
