Snowgirls
Edited by anniekins at 2013-9-19 13:57In russian New Year celebrating tradition there is the girl, the granddaughter of Ded Moroz (Father Frost) called Snegurochka (Snowgirl or Snowmaiden). I collect Snowgirl cards and tree ornaments. Two dolls I stitched, for one of them I made chart using the postcard drawing.
This one. She looks like me very tired after the holiday ;)
Other one I made as a gift but I hope... sometimes... I repeat it. Designed by my LJ friend Antonina Taskaev (sorry dont share this chart). Doll can stand and is about 11 cm.

http://dl10.glitter-graphics.net/pub/665/665410e8ys881vqf.gif very nice. can i uploaded this pattern? i like made a doll from cross stitch smart girls! :D I had never heard of Snegurochka before; thank you for teaching us about it! :loveliness: Snegurochka is relatively new hero for holiday. First it was just the fairytale and then Rimsky-
Korsakov opera character with the same name - Snegurochka. After the October revolusion the Christmas as religious holiday has been canceled and repleced by New Year celebration. Snegurochka (or Snegurka) first appeared at Kremlin party as Ded Moroz granddaughter. As for fairytale person, she is posibly Kostroma, one of the dying and reviving deities.
