I have an 11 X 11" and a 4 X 4", I find them both heavy to use after using wooden hoops.I would suggest the larger size and have something to balance it on.   I use a floor stand but don't clamp them in, I just use it to hold the frame as I'm working on it.    A table or chair would also work to balance it on.

i've got a 11x11", a 8x8" and a 4x4".
For me the 4x4" is to small, the 11x11", to heavy, so I only work with the 8x8". but I adore it :) and now I nerver stitch without my Q snap :D

Thank you very much....I think I will try the 8X8 because I don't want it to be too heavy.:)

hi i also second q-snaps, and initially got the 11x11 which was that bit to big so went the size smaller and find the 8x8 to be fantastic. I've never heard anyone have an issue with them but just in case i place thin strips under my material that I've stitched on so as to give it that extra bit of protection

I used the 8x8 Q Snaps.

FYI: Sometimes the Q Snaps do leave marks on the fabric. To avoid this, use pieces of felt between the material & the snap part.

I use an 8 x 8 but have enough sets to make any size needed. A friend suggested the Snap needed to be bigger then the stitch but I agree the bigger ones can get heavy after a while.

I take it out of the frame after each stitch session to avoid the bends it sometimes leave. But those always come out after a quick soak before the framer or finishing process. Wrinkle Release also helps with those.
