Thread conditioning

Just a little helpful idea you can use a dryer sheet, made by diferent companies sheet that you throw into your dryer with your laundry to soften and make smell nice. Just fold the sheet and pull your threaded needle through and your thread will glide through your material and smell nice too :) Hope this helps

I hate to put anything on my thread, I don't know if it will cause the work to deteriorate over time

I have been doing that for a long time. I just get a box of sheets at the dollar store and cut them into smallish pieces and put them in a zip lock bag. That way I always have some handy :)

Unfortunately, in my country we do not have such luxuries. Normally I use good white candle - cut into a small piece. I wax my threads on this piece before using. It helps to avoid thread tangles, and goes more smoothly in and out of the cloth.

That's a very good idea. Thank you!

Sounds nice but... I can't see the advantage of doing this :)
