Actually, when you stitch on Aida fabric without hoop or frame you are stitching twice faster. You put your fabric on a table and stitch, this way you can do "double deeps" instead of pushing the needle below and above the the fabric every stitch... try it... :)
It is the best tip I can give :)

bonus to you dear, I can not stitch without a hoop of frame. I stitch each one thru down and back up for each one. guess that is why I stitch so slow lol ;P great advice I will have to give it a try but I think I am too trained. it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks ;P did I just call myself an old dog?!?! ;P thank you again

The same for me I cant stitch with a hoop \ frame.There are fabrics I have to use it with them and it is so annoying...
