Help Finishing a Pattern

Edited by seb0357 at 2013-6-22 01:45

I am trying to finish a Just Nan Noellas berry that I got from a pattern. It is OOP and I didnt get the complete kit, so I need suggestions on how to put a cap on this berry without the actual cap that came in the kit.I have gone to the fabric stores and looked for cap type buttons, but havent been able to find any large enough to use yet.Does anyone have any suggestions on where or how to finish this?I have attached 2 pics so that you can see what I need to finish. It is supposed to look like the link on this site:

Very cute seb............ did you think of embroidering a piece of fabric in gold thread then sewing it on?   I would suggest though to get a sturdy fabric.   White cotton twill would do, sturdy and easy to embroider.   I cant think of anything off hand that you can just sew on.
Felt would be too weak and I dont think you would be able to match the colour well.Im sure someone will post a great idea.

Thanks LouAnna!I found 2 bottle cap type buttons that I might could bend and cover with felt in a brown and glue or sew on and attach the ribbon, but I dont know if that will work yet.I thought maybe if someone knew of an online store, or anyway I could finish it would be an improvement. Maybe someone will come up with something I can do, thanks for your suggestion.
