Sorry to tell you that I have the same problem downloading this first file here too. It wont open and say that there is an error. If small .rar files were made by splitting a larger .rar file then unless you have the whole set it will come up with corrupted file. Also sometimes CHcross can time out while downloading a file and say that the file has completed downloading when it actually hasnt, an easy way to tell if this has happened is if the file you downloaded on to you computer isnt the same size as what is listed next to the file link in the thread.
