Is that a Japanese site (midori embroidery)? I tried Vicki Claytons silks a while back but I didnt really like them. Some people love those silks though and they are cheaper.
Do you wash the completed piece ? In water, just like when cotton floss is used or with a special detergent ?
Thanks,
p
Very useful post. I havent try any silk but I want. Thank you!
I used ATALIE-Soie, Au Ver A Soie, Belle Soie,Soie de Maroc
but I never washed them,
Iam really intrested in this Japanese Soie
I dont dare to use silk. It must require much higher skill than I have.
Wonderfully done; pictures DO say a thousand words dont they?Thank you so much, the examples showing the differences in the strands by itself, by the twist, and what they look like stitches are fabulous.
You definitely have a talent for teaching. Thanks again!
My favorite silk is Gloriana. It is amazing to stitch with, but also a bit expensive.I also like Caron Waterlillies and Dinky Dyes.
