Anniversary
Edited by anniekins at 2014-8-17 14:54I didnt know it would take so much time to find out my aunt and uncles annivesary date. No one in their family knew. I even called my uncle and he wasnt sure. At my 2nd cousins house warming, she asked and got me the date of their wedding. I was beginning to think Id have to send it with just their names.
The sampler is from My Big Toe cross-stitch designs. It is stitched in 32-count cream Belfast linen with Gentle Art Sampler Threads (Mountain Mist & Raven). The pattern comes with 4 color choices so you can use whichever one suits you -- or the recipients.
I received this on Wednesday and worked on it this weekend. Repeating motifs give me trouble because I get off track. That meant ripping out stitches and doing it again. I should have been finished, but at least Ive made progress.

Wow nice and lovely!
Thank you. Its frustrating sometimes, especially working in the sweaty heat, but its coming along. And I have the date at last. Blythe replied at 2013-9-9 14:43 static/image/common/back.gif

Thank you. Its a lot of work but looks deceptively simple. baby1264 replied at 2013-9-9 15:05 static/image/common/back.gif
Wow nice and lovely!
Its the kind of piece my aunt would buy at an antique store. This looks great! It will be a very appreciated gift, I bet!
Dont worry about ripping out stitches. It happens to me, too. Especially with monochrome patterns. You only need to be patient. But the result is worth it! Yes you´ve made!! and it´s going perfect!! It will be a lovely gift!! very neat! lovely
