What do you use your stitched work for?

I just stated cross stitch and I can see many projects which can be framed and hang on the wall once finished.

But there are so many that are very pretty but not exactly suited for framing, I am wondering what do you girls do with your stitched pieces?Do you make it into something? If so, what do you usually make and how?

Thanks for all your reply!

Oh there are tons of things cross stitch can be turned into like pillows, ornaments, book marks, cards, table settings, clothing, tops to little boxes, bags and pocket books.I have seen borders used also to make the frames for photos. Most of my items ended up framed and gifts for others. But be creative you can basically make anything you put your mind to especially if you use the waste adia where you can sew on regular material.Oh I have seen afghans, towels, bibs.Have fun deciding your next project :)

Most of my finished pieces are for wall hanging but that's only because there's nothing much where I live. Depending on what are available at your town, you could do tons of things with cross stitch: afghan, bibs, towels, hat bands, jar lids... Have fun!

aside from pat-pat on my back for finishing it?
nothing at all :D
all pieces are wrapped in acid free paper and stored in my "big treasure box"
waiting for grandchildren to fall in love with them
some small ones have been framed and gifted, buth tose people are dead now
and many have been returned to me

sorry i'm no real help for you
