Sue Hillis Designs - In Memoriam

Edited by anniekins at 2014-8-11 11:45

I wanted to share with you my completed In Memoriam stitch that was stitched for a friend.
This was stitched for a friend, but she paid for the supplies used which was the fabric and threads. I do make cross stitched items to sell because of some of the copyright information in different books, magazines and charts giving different permissions.
I chose to not make a profit on any of my stitching that I make to sell.. My idea was that I was helping someone with something special, and that meant more than being paid for it.. If that makes sense? I have been on facebook etc. and searched for people whom sell cross stitch keepsakes, and they charge people the cost of a kit and double it for taking up their time to stitch it... I was shocked! This is something that I couldnt do to someone.. IF they wanted to send me extra money for making something then that is then down to them, but I wouldnt/couldnt expect someone to pay me for making something!

The good news is, is that this was sent yesterday afternoon by my other half (he went out before me) and my friend recieved this in the post this morning.. Which in itself was a shock because I have sent things first class on friday and havent received it till the monday.. So I am happy knowing that my friend is happy with what I had made for her.
