My Rainbow C2C Pram Blanket
Here is my second attempt at making a C2C (Corner to Corner) pram blanket.Measures approx 30x35 Inches
This was made for a friend who had their first Rainbow Baby following a few early pregnancy losses.
It was also a chance for me to see how my C2C skills are and if I could pull of a multicoloured blanket like this one. And it seems that although I was a little skepitcal at the start, it came out beautifully.
This has a white scalloped edging around the blanket <3
This is what it means when the term Rainbow Baby is used:
A "rainbow baby" is a baby that is born following a miscarriage or still birth.
In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison.
The storm (pregnancy loss) has already happened and nothing can change that experience. Storm-clouds might still be overhead as the family continue to cope with the loss, but something colourful and bright has emerged from the darkness and misery.
"We lost our last pregnancy, but now we have a rainbow baby."
