Snow Queen Elsa - like Crochet
Well this has been A LOT of hard work but i am throughly impressed with the outcome! When I Posted this pattern to the site I said that I had not made the doll yet, well now I can say I have! Like Crochet has removed the pattern since but the creator still has a prescence on Instagram as Sculpturing Face, writing patterns for realistic amigurumi human forms.This pattern was pretty easy to read although a little hard to understand at times with dertain things but I progressed with it to finish it.

The arms were particularly tricky I have quite large hands being a male and this whole pattern was made up with crochet Yarn and a 2.5mm Hook! The arms started with a 6 stitch ring that worked up to 8 I followed it backwards to make this easier for myself. I had to crochet it around a pencil to help it keep its shape
I didnt get a photo of the legs/feet on their own but they were fairly easy to complete, Only thing i would say is when it says to do the TrB/HdC in the previous stitch to make the toe, do it in the next stitch it works better I found also DEFINIATLY support the legs with wire and stuff as you are crocheting these things are very thin and extremely hard to have the doll stand with
The eyes posed a problem for me, The pattern called for them to be needle felted but goes on to say it does not work well with acrylic yarn as it takes to much force to get the barbed needle in and out of the piece. I used acrylic yarn for my flesh parts as my local craft store has a very lousy supply of colours in cotton yarn and its really expensive too (£4 a ball) and I guess not to many people buy it. I cut felt pieces for the white,blue & black parts a little purple eyeshadow for the highlights above the eyes, and followed the pattern for the rest of the eyes embroidery
Again I did not get photos of the cape and hair in progress, The hair was a bit tricky as their was ALOT of it to braid, and it became chucky and hard to keep control off, if I had to do this again I think I would not sew 2 rows of hair or use embroider floss/thinner yard. The cape is very easy to do if you understand symbols. If not its still fairly simple to follow as the stitches are outlines and coded, I had trouble doing the fancy embelishments at the bottom so left them off (for the second time making this cape)
The pattern did not call for a mouth to be embroidered onto the doll, I like the way she looks with out one but I may do one anyway as she looks a little weird with out it. the photo above makes her neck look really thick but its really not (15 stitches round) probobly just a bad angle.
I hope you enjoyed a break down and my progress on this amazing pattern. I may do something similar for my next project as its been fun showing the different elements of the doll.
