Embroidery & Decoupage Mothers Day Card

Edited by nanasitasue at 2015-3-16 20:12

I used a pattern for embroidery on card to do the border. It involved pricking all the stitch holes through the white card then stitching holes 1 to 5 then 2 to 6 then 3 to 7 & so on to achieve the effect. The tulip, my Mums favourite flower, was decoupaged in 4 layers. The threads were picked to match the colours in the flower. The white embroidered card was mounted on to gold mirror card which was then mounted onto the card blank. A red bow finishes it off nicely. My Mum was thrilled with it yesterday.
