Same here.Never really thought about it too much.I have purchased gold plated but Im not sure if they actually make a difference.

Bohin are great.I bought 25 of each of my favorite sizes.Cheaper that way.

I dont really think it matters much - I usually use dmc because theyre the cheapest ones my local shop sells :)

I use John James and they are wonderful.I dont think Ive ever broken one either.Just lose them inside my chair.   :Q
