Keeping Track of Needle Size While Swatching

Now this will work with hole size needles if you end up with a half size needle you will have to make an additional note some how

but if you make eyelets in the next to last row before binding off
so say the swatch you have finished took a size 5 needle you would make 5 eyelets across the row

hope you found this useful
personally i hate swatching lol

I do something very similar. Most of my swatches are in stockenette stich. When I change needle size, I make some purl bumps on the 2nd row to indicate my needle size. For exampe, 5.5 mm would be purl 5, knit 2 then purl 5.I have been able to look at swatches created years ago and still know what needles they were done on.I like your eyelette idea too. Especially in lace.
