When painting you cant avoid the crochet texture showing through. I use acrilic paints mixed with the fabric mixing medium. It makes the acrilic paint more flexible and allows to iron it to fix the paint (with a rice paper between project and iron). It also allows for precision when painting since its quite similar to use an acrilic pain on other canvas
