Mo's Hand-Dyed Threads....

I usually buy WDW or GAST, but I grabbed a couple of Mo's threads....for the price,,,,,excellent!
$1/skein vs $2.50.I used it for a couple of simple Lizzie*Kate's which only called for 4 colors, so it was very easy to switch the colors.I don't know what base he uses, i.e. Sullivan's, Anchor, DMC.

I am going to give hand-dying a try.Anyone else interested in this?I am doing to go with DMC/RIT

I dye my own wool to spin. I use Procion Mx dyes............... or food colours if I'm solar dyeing. It is a very delicate process as wool cannot be agitated............ otherwise it felts.
Good Luck with your dyeing experiments - it can be full of surpises!

Thanks for the tip, I'll give Mo's a try too if I can find them.

I never even heard about stitchers hand-dyeing their threads themselves, to be honest... though the idea is simple, I guess. Thank you for the tip :) I'll think about it, sounds interesting. And I've already tried fabric-dyeing, so why not
