My materials are here!

Edited by imuni55 at 2015-7-17 22:40

I ordered from Britain materials that I cannot buy here, which is, well, everything except DMC threads. The bobbins are also unavailable, and the box too (or its too pricy). Yes, sometimes its even cheaper to buy from Britain XD By the way, I bought materials for Mirabilias Florentina and Persephone.
So, the parcel itself:

Starting to open:

MillHill beads and fabric (Zweigart 32 linen, not colored)

DMC storage box

Bobbins, Kreinik threads and Caron Waterlilies:

Caron Waterlilies (closer):

And the threads that I bought here today. They were not in the parcel, but I just cant resist a foto of many threads, yaaaay!

Love your goodies, must ...

DMC is certainly cheaper here. But I cant buy from US, because most shops either dont ship here, or shipping is very expensive and long (about a month - from Britain it comes in about 10 days). Id gladly buy from Amazon or ebay, but most sellers dont ship here! This is so frustrating sometimes... Sewandso removed Ukraine from their list of countries too, so I could order only through e-mailing the manager.
Thank you, happy work to you too!

theyre both in US, and Im in Ukraine. I dont even bother with shops that are over the pond (can I even say that if Im not in UK? :D ), because they either dont ship to Ukraine, or their shipping is very expensive and takes a long time. In the end, the price of goods will be lower, but the shipping will be more expensive, so the end result is the same - excluding the waiting period, which is longer for US shops. So why bother?
Thank you for your comment :)

What a treasure chest you have there.:lol
I know what you mean about shipping from USA - it is out-of-this-world expensive now that governments have cottoned onto the fact that they can collect import duties BEFORE the items are sent - and they really ramp up the prices......... Ebay has joined in this little fandango..............!
If I want something from anyone on ebay.com I look for someone who is NOT in the international shipping programme and ask them if they will ship by first class mail - which is cheaper.................... and my local postman can collect the taxes - which doesnt happen...................
Have fun with your goodies!
