How to blend in the treads of new yarn in a scarf?

Hi everyone
I made my first crochet scarf but I couldnt hide the yarn changes, because of the large caliber of the needles, the loose threads are very apparent.
Any tips?

When blending in the threads of new yarn in a scarf, start by overlapping the new yarn with the old yarn for a few stitches to create a smooth transition. You can do this by knitting or crocheting with both strands held together briefly before dropping the old yarn completely. Another option is to weave in the ends of the new yarn carefully on the wrong side as you go, making sure to secure them well without adding bulk. Keeping the tension consistent during the switch helps the join stay invisible and prevents gaps or bumps in the fabric. Taking your time with this step ensures a seamless, polished look in your finished scarf.

Here is what I do:
thread the yarn on a large-eyed darning needle and pull it through where a row of stitching is the most dense. Using your
picture, I have drawn a red line going from right to left and even going back and forth can sometimes secure the ends very well

I always crochet my ends in as I hate weaving in ends!:funk:
