I use them now for several years, and never ever had any problems with it! But I onlly use the special ones, blue in color - no other color!
oh, I stitch from the upper left corner to bottom - I also change the direction of my fabric always! I stitch from right to left ... I don´t know why but that feels the best! =) also Iuse the sewing method.

i also start from left but top , my grandma always used to tell me that not always our hands are c ...
i use to do the same.. but i find that my XXXX are not that even i dont know why.. then one told me that if you are left handed start from the bottom left if you are right-handed start from the top left.. hehe i am not sure if its just a myth but it worked for me :)
