Hand tied yarn?

Hand tied...I see this term all the time but not quite sure what it means?

You might also look up magic ball of yarn, too.This is when you join all your loose ends randomly or in some scheme to create totally unique fabric.

Oh dear! Sounds like someone has come up with an expensive way to use up all their odd (short) bits of yarn. (Yawn!) Cant find a yawning smiley!
