how to make rosie cheeks
Hi,Often I see crocheted or knitted (or even sewn) dolls with a pink rosie blush on the cheeks.
I was wondering what you use to make those.
And is it waterproof? Is the doll / softie washable afterwards?
I always like the way they look, but I don't know what to use.
Do you like pink cheeks on you dolls? Or do you prefer them 'naked'.
And if you do like it, what do you use?

I have seen many tutorials where artist is using acrilic paint with a lot of wather. Insted of brush they use sponge.

I take a stamping pad in flesh-pink colour and tip it on, also marker works too.
And if you haven´t that you can use a brush and womens rouge (if you wash it will be gone away, then i make it once more on ;-) ) is not waterproof!
Feltplate under the eye, but is not my favorite...
and stitching it is a form too. I use a marker tip but it does not work that well on dark colored yarn. If you have wool yarn, you can try needle felting the blush in, otherwise embroidering it on is a solid option. I love blush cheeks! Use makeup blush with a stiff fabric paint brush to work it in the yans, another choice is chalk pastels do the same way. This is great for fabric also. although it's not waterproof, i use tailor's chalk with the orange shade as blush for dolls :P can be hard to work with but gets it done This information is great. Thank you! i've seen creaters who use paint or pigment as a sort of blush that they apply like real makeup you can use some real blush or eyeshadow that you no longer use for cheeks You can use crayon or a red pencil.I prefer crayon.
