You can just use tent stitch in 2 threads over 1 on 25 count, this is just doing one arm of the cross... otherwise 1 over 1 is more than satisfactory

I am working on josephine walls undine and as the majority of their patterns, haed tells you to use 25 cnt 1over 1..
my undine is big so it will take me a long time to finish it.
I am also working on a qs and for that one I am using 18 cnt 1 over 1

i am thinking of doing a HAED for my next project, it suggests to use 25ct linen, but i was wondering if i change my material for 18ct aida will the size be much bigger and would qs 2 over 1 be alright?

I just started the HAE storykeep Flower Bride, Im stitching it on 22ct and started it 2 over 1 but you couldnt see the crosses at all so I unpicked it and started again 1 over 1.

Although the colour isnt as deep you can see the little delicate crosses and its far easier to stitch i managed a 10 x 10 block in 90 mins.I dont think id have been able to do that using 2 threads because it was nearly impossible to pass through the holes.

I wonder if it is possible and it looks good to stitch a HAED pattern with a 14ct fabric? Here is hard to find any good fabrics and floss.

Its possible but would be very large in size. You would have to stand farther away from finished pattern to see it clearly.

you could always try a linen type table cloth, look for one which has holes between the threads you can see easily:)
