Thank you for sharing such a successful guide. Ive not used the pin stitch start on my projects before. But you never know when it will come in handy.

On my 2 over 2 stitching on 32 ct linen I use the loop method.
On my 1 over 1 stitching on 28 ct and 32 count evenweave, shock horror I use a little knot! When Im changing thread 40 times in 100 stitches using a weaving though of previous stitches to anchor a thread can sure create a fairly sizeable bulge. So now I make a tiny knot, and start. Much less bulgy back. And use a weave though when Im finishing.
