Dying with watercolors

I dyed my cloth with water color what children use for painting. I left it for a day to dry and rinsed it the next day. Its very pretty.
I have a foto of one dyed piece of cloth. But I have more pieces. There very beautifull and you can use multiple colors if you want.

You now those children painting boxes the flat ones with the disk in them and one brush very simpel childstuff. But for one I used bleu and green with sponge and water and than dipped that on the cloth. Use a plastic sheet under your cloth its getting very wet and then let it dry and than rinse and rinse so its clear water I don't know yet if you can wash the cloth afterwards I will have to try that but I don't wash my cross stitch afterwards. Hope this will help. Sorry cant repley yet so this is it Karriboo.

Thank you but I didnt have mine washed with soap so you have to try that first before you ruined Some of your fabric. And that would be not good after you do a whole project on it. ( sorry for the English I'm dutch).

i work on really small projects like ornaments and pinkeeps so my linen costs are minimal. not sure i would try a huge piece of linen as I wouldn't want to waste the money if it doesn't work. :D

I've used fabric paint diluted and it worked fine.   Made it a bit stiff in areas tho, but it didcome out tolook like clouds in the sky.

Very nice ! Thank you for sharing. I have used rit dye and the little dyes that come from easter egg kits. Never thought of water colors but the results are fabulous

Superbe. Je peints également mon tissu avec des peintures textiles que je dilue avec beaucoup d'eau.
