Silky Alpaca Lace by Classic Elite Yarns
(70% alpaca, 30% silk; 50 g = approx 440 yards)
A – 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) balls 2453 Berry
B – 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) balls 2443 Apricot
NEEDLES
Knitting needles in size US 6 (4 mm) or size to obtain gauge.
Knitting needles in size US 10 (6 mm) or size to obtain gauge.
GAUGE
14 sts and 22 rows = 4” in St st using larger needles and 2 strands of yarn held together, blocked (see Notes);
30 sts and 28 rows = 4” in 3 x 3 Rib using smaller needles and 2 strands of yarn held together, relaxed so 3-st purl columns appear 1½ sts wide. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
NOTES
Work with one strand each of A and B held together throughout. The stockinette sections of this project are deliberately worked using a large needle at a loose gauge to produce a softly draping fabric. The sleeves are worked from the top down.
