+1 for ChiaoGoo but only the red lace! I feel the spin cables are very rough at the join though I do like the bamboo needles even better than the steel.
If my yarn has a lot of fluff though sometimes the ChiaoGoos can be too sharp, in that case I like Lykke needles.

I have several sets of interchangeable needles: ChiaoGoo, Hyia Hyia, AddiClick, Tulip and KnitPro. For me ChiaoGoo (Red Lace complete set) are the best and Hyia Hyia a close runner up (their very, maybe excessively, sharp needles are very useful when knitting lace). I also appreciate the swivel cord in the Tulip needles, but they are bamboo and I definitely prefer metal needles. I was disappointed by AddiClick because I unfortunately got a faulty needle in the set that wont stay in place for love or money.
KnitPro for me are low-medium quality, I do not recommend.

I have the KnitPicks chunky set and they are pretty good, the needles are really pretty with the mosaic wood designs! I got two metal sets from an estate sale, but I dont know the brands only one of them has really nice flexible cords though.

Denise Interchangeables. I did buy some long cables when I was making a large circular baby blanket, and the cable connections would not hold together smaller cable sections, but that was the only time I had an issue.

Chiagoo red lace for sure. The set is expensive but soooo worth it. The joins are really smooth.
