Blushing Tips and Techniques

Hello all,

How are we today? I am just wondering if you wouldnt mind sharing what you use to blush your toys? Crayon? Makeup? Something else?

How do you apply them? Brush? Wedge? Tissue?

I would love to hear how you do it

Thanks so much for your time!
xx

I was very curious too, so I had a look and found a really good video on You tube. I searched using crochet blushing techniques. It taught me how. Thanks for asking the question.

I use oil pastels with a fairly stiff artist paint brush. It works fairly well.

I use watered down acrylic paint, mostly applied with a soft brush. If the color is too deep, I use a tissue before it is dry to blot.I wanted something a little more permanent than make-up, and the coloring is blended better than crayon or colored pencil.

I use acrylic paints applied lightly with a brush, then I blend by dabbing with a tissue. It is best to apply a little at a time, since colors deepen when dry.Let dry completely (apply more if not dark enough). After it is completely dry, I use modge podge over all the surface to seal it. I hope this helps. Many people use make-up or colored pencils, but I found the colors tend to rub off.
