Car Seat Puncho
A colleague of hubby had her first child in 2016.The sweet baby girl had a nasty cold around Thanksgiving last year, and the new mom was complaining how difficult to keep the baby warm at all times because the baby coats were all too bulky to fit in the car seat.So I made this puncho with side slits in her favorite colors for the little angel for Christmas 2017.It is thick and warm, but not so bulky so it will fit in the car seat. With a slit on each side, the little one can put her arms through the slits so her hands are free for use.When she is out and about, she can pull her arms in to wear it like a puncho with no need to take it off.Hubbys colleague said it was very practical, and glad that I made it bigger so she could get a few years use out of it (finished size is for toddlers).
