It is a .pat file which Id never heard of and didnt realize.Anybody know what to do with it?I cant find anything on my Mac to open it with.

This is a bummer!Should be some kind of warning with these files if you need to have special software.

A .pat file is what we call here a repaint and is opened with the program PcStitch.

Please read

.pat files will not open on mac sadly, you need to convert it to pdf, mac does not support any platform for such files. As you own a Mac stick only to scanned patterns and keep away from repaints.

Normally you must use PC-Stitch a prgramm, but sad not for you.
In your case, keep away from pat and xsd files.
