Sidetracked Socks by Kirsten Hall

Construction
Two mirrored socks are worked from the toe up. The spiraling chevron band is worked sideways with short rows. The short-row heel extends almost completely around the foot, to expand the instep. The cuff can be worked with one color (the variegated yarn), or two colors using a lazy semi-intarsia technique.
Sizes
Circumferences for sock foot and ankle are given below for 2.5 mm needles and average to heavy fingering yarn.

[*]Small: 7 inches/18 cm - 7.5 inches/19 cm
[*]Medium: 7.75 inches/20 cm - 8.5”/21.5 cm
[*]Large: 8.5 inches/21.5 cm - 9.25”/23.5 cm
