Not sure what I think of the buttons on the back (wouldnt they hurt if you sat down?) but it looks...

I think it depends on the form of the buttons. If they are flat - I think it will be ok, you wont feel them through the knitted fabric

Very true - and likely how they are attached to the garment. If the sewing point is very thick and the button rounded, it would be very uncomfortable. Flat buttons and gentle attachment points would be likely very fine!
