Style-wise, this cardigan is a classic. It’s knit flat from the bottom in one piece, then separated at underarms, and the ribbed buttonband is worked as part of the sweater body. Slip-stitch crochet forms the after-thought buttonholes and stabilizes the front edge. Neckline band is attached I-cord. Sleeves are worked separately and are set in. Cable decreases (love those!) shape the sleeve caps and “full-fashioned” shoulders.Subtle shaping whittles the back waist a bit. And while the length shown is cropped, the sweater couild be made any length desired.
