Too many projects :(
How do you all get on with doing projects? I get a bit bored of doing one thing at a time but just recently have started way too many. I have 2 baby blankets, 2 baby cardigans, a sweater for me, a blanket for my daughter and an enormous cross stitch to do. Is anyone else like me? Do I just stop and do one thing until its finished? I have rotated my pieces in the past.So many days on each project, then a change of pace with something else. Mind you, its more cumbersome as you have to keep track of which one butI did finish quite a few projects with rotating them.I found I didnt get tired of them as I would have with just one project on the go. Wow :o you really have a lot to do! I dont know if I could stay focused with that many things on the go. I try not to start too many since I then feel like nothing gets done. I mostly just cross stitch so I have a big project to work on at home and a small one or two to work on in the doctor office waiting room or in the car.. not while driving ;P Do you think you work better with lots to chose from? Good luck with all of your lovely sounding works :) static/image/common/user_online.gif CraftyLouAnna static/image/common/clock.gif 2019-4-2 14:06

Im very glad you dont sew and drive ;) I very rarely have time to do anything while at appointments but I do have a little project bag I could put stuff in so I might give it a go. I was doing some crochet while waiting for a flight last week and so many people stopped and asked what I was making I hardly got any done :) That sounds right XD I have several projects wip too but I will try finish all before begin new ones Edited by mephala87 at 2019-4-3 23:07
I recently realized I tend to get bored or overwhelmed by big projects (in my case cross stitch patterns). And what I consider "big project" varies from time to time: sometimes its a really huge reproduction piece, sometimes merely two pages cross stitch of a cat. So not to abandon stitching altogether I now lean towards smaller patterns, and it helps. Like this one, or that. So my advice is, if you feel bored or overwhelmed do a quick easy thing! That great feeling of accomplishment after finishing any type of craft is still there - even if the projects itself is small - and it will energize/inspire you to do more crafting projects : ) I think we all end up saying : "Ill finish two projects before I start a new one" i have alot on the go too, i finish soemthing but i hate sewing in the ends, i try to keep my projects sorted in bins but hubby says they have taken over the house...hahaha i get bored too I usually have several projects going.I just pick up what I am in the mood to work on and go with it.I have had to start limiting them so that I actually finish something.
